TLTs with Homemade Pesto on Sourdough
It’s a seasonal treat, but every time I eat it I sure wish it wasn’t. TLTs are best, in my opinion, with juicy heirloom tomatoes, sliced just-ripe avocados, and crispy tempeh, smooshed (lightly, if more patient than myself) between two thin pieces of sourdough bread. This time, I also added a thick homemade basil pesto spread that really added a nice pop of flavor.
And yes, that is my dog begging for food at the dinner table. We are terrible parents.
